Four Penn-Trafford 8th graders have received the American Legion Award at the culmination of their middle school careers.
According to the American Legion website, those who receive a medal must exemplify six qualities that define character: courage, honor, leadership, patriotism, scholarship, and service.
At Penn Middle School, the award was presented by the Bushy Run American Legion to Annabelle Aquino and Dylan Barrett. At Trafford Middle School, the Trafford American Legion honored Chloe Bishop and Faiz Khatri with the award.
