The debate teams of Penn and Trafford Middle schools participated in The Great Debate which was hosted by Trafford Middle School on January 23. Seventy-two students participated from area schools including Latrobe, Yough, Kiski, Greensburg Salem, and Franklin Regional. Students, who were each grouped with a partner, were given topics to research before going head-to-head with other schools.
The following Penn-Trafford groups earned first place: Grady Swartz / Chloe Yun, Maddie Barton / Maddie DelRosso, Natalia Gunstrom / Brooks Burmeister, Declan Joyce / PJ Eiseman.
