Project Blends Science and Art

Seventh-grade students at Penn Middle School recently completed a hands-on unit about cells in their science classes. Under the guidance of teachers Mr. Fontana and Mr. Farbarik, students brought cells to life by designing and constructing creative 3D models and posters. Their projects featured detailed representations of plant and animal cells, complete with labeled organelles and explanations of each structure’s function. This engaging activity allowed students to deepen their understanding of cell biology in an interactive and imaginative way.
